Morgan & Juniper | Autumn Michigan Equestrian Photography
A few months ago I went out in the pasture to grab my horse, and discovered that she had a new friend, a gorgeous leopard spotted appaloosa. I was beyond excited, cause leopard appys hold a very special place in my heart, and this one turned out to be a sweetie! Later I found out her name was Juniper, and got to meet Morgan, her human. Besides being a mare and technically a Pony of the Americas rather than an appaloosa, Juniper looks so much like my first horse, Thunder, that I can’t help but to love her! Which is why you’ll often find me sneaking her treats while I’m bringing my own horse in from the field.
Juniper’s human, Morgan, is pretty cool too, and you can often find us hacking around the property together. Oh plus commiserating about riding mares, and what divas they love to be.
I was thrilled to get to do some fall photos with the two of them. I am just awestruck by the awesome colors here, and an autumn Michigan equestrian photo session was just what I needed before it really got cold. Of course fall foliage provides a perfect backdrop, but I also love colder weather outfits. Sweaters, scarves, and boots are 100% my fashion forte!
But really guys, can we just talk about how perfect this session is color-wise? 😍 I’m thinking every spotted horse needs fall photos. Let’s make it happen. Next year, mid October, bring me all the spotted ponies!
In all seriousness, it might be a little too early to talk autumn sessions for next year, but definitely keep it in mind, because I need more of this gorgeousness in my life.
