Avery & Prada | Washington Equestrian Senior Photos
Even in the colder months, I love my Pacific Northwest sessions, and this Washington Equestrian Senior Photo Shoot was one of my favorites! Washington is beautifully green and the cloudy skies make for some of my favorite lighting. Photographing high school seniors is so much fun, and I just loved chatting with Avery about her plans for life after high school. She hasn’t owned Prada for long, but it’s already so clear that they are a perfect pair together.
I love when my clients are as natural together as Avery and Prada. When I’m shooting equestrian portraits, I’m really trying to capture that beautiful connection between horse and human, and these two made that so easy. Avery could barely keep the smile off her face while interacting with her mare. And when we did more serious photos, she was more than happy to snuggle up to Prada and just enjoy their closeness.
For each of my sessions, my clients usually have three to four outfits picked out for photos. Of course, for my equestrian clients, it is oftentimes clothes that they would never wear around their horses, but I think that’s part of the fun of a shoot! Avery brought along a dress she had originally bought for a school dance, but never actually got the chance to wear. I seriously adore the contrast of a girl in a dress, and a horse!
I can’t wait to see what this pair do together, they are clearly meant to be!
