Location Options for Your Horse Photography Session
After booking your Michigan equestrian photo session with Deziree's Photography (or your session somewhere else in the nation, I travel!), you probably are beginning to think about all of the details of your session. One of the more important details to think about is the location of your session. Don't worry, you don't have to go out and find an epic location, but there are a few options you can consider.
The stable where your horse is located
This is often the easiest location, since your horse is already there! Most stables have plenty of variety for backgrounds. Don't worry if you don't think your stable is "pretty" enough, I've yet to meet a location I couldn't work with!
If you keep your horses at your home, chances are you have plenty of room for your Michigan equestrian photo session. This is also another easy location, since your horse is already there!
A trail or park within walking distance
A number of my equestrian photo clients have great trails or parks within walking distance from where their horses live. If it's a place that your horse is familiar with, and will be comfortable at, it can be a great place for your session! We'll just walk over with your horse, and I'll help carry the rest of your stuff.
A scenic location you trailer to
Like I said previously, I've never met a location that I couldn't work with, but if you really feel like where your horse is located isn't nearly pretty enough, trailering to a more scenic location is another option. Of course, it'll need to be a horse accessible location and it helps if your horse is very comfortable in new locations. Whether you’re walking or trailering to a location for your shoot, please let me know as soon as possible; oftentimes parks require photography permits that we will need to secure in advance.
Wherever you have your equestrian photo session, we’ll work together to make some beautiful photos! And don’t worry, this is one of the many session details we’ll go over when you book a session with me! So get in touch if you’re interested in your own Michigan equestrian photo session, or a session somewhere else!
